The Nara City Tourism Association website (hereafter referred to as “the website”) is administered by Nara City Tourism Association (Public Interest Incorporated Association; hereafter referred to as “the Association”).

The copyright over the contents of the website is owned by the Association and persons connected with the Association. However, in the event that there exist copyright holders outside the Association (such as when certain copyrighted materials etc. are created by outsourcing providers), the copyright in question shall reside with the copyright holders in question. The unauthorized secondary use of the copyrighted materials posted on this website for reproduction, reprinting, loaning, distribution, sale etc. is strictly prohibited, except where this is permitted under the Copyright Act, regardless of whether such acts are undertaken for profit or non-profit purposes.

This Association has set out and implemented the following policy, concerning the handling of information which could identify individuals (hereafter referred to as “personal information”), such as names, addresses and dates of birth.

(1) What is “personal information”?

“Personal information” refers to information which identifies or could potentially identify a specific individual, including names, addresses, dates of birth, telephone numbers and email addresses.

*However, this does not include information relating to the executive officers of corporations or other organizations which is included within the information pertaining to said corporations or other organizations.

(2) Gathering of personal information

As a general principle, when personal information is gathered through this website, such information shall be provided (by means of registration) by the customer in question based on their consent, following an explicit explanation of the purposes of gathering such information, and a clear statement that such gathering of information shall be carried out only to the extent necessary for the fulfillment of said purposes.

(3) Use of personal information

The personal information gathered shall be used only to the extent necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Personal information may not be used for any purposes other than those for which the consent of the user in question has been obtained.

(4) Provision of personal information to third parties

The Association shall not provide or disclose to third parties any personal information among the information gathered from users, except in cases where the consent of the user in question has been obtained or where such provision or disclosure is provided for by laws and regulations.

However, in cases where personal information has been gathered following the explicit statement of the purposes of use in advance and provided to other entities through joint usage or the outsourcing of operations, such provision shall not constitute disclosure to a third party. 

(1) The Association takes the greatest possible care in its handling of the information provided via this website. However, it does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, usefulness, safety or other aspects of the website’s contents to any degree whatsoever.

(2) The Association bears no responsibility for any damage incurred by the user as a result of accessing this website.

(3) The contents (including these regulations) and URLs found on this website are subject to change or deletion without notice.

(4) The Association bears no responsibility whatsoever for any damages or problems which may arise as a result of the information posted on this website, either directly or indirectly.

(5) The distribution of this website in part or in its entirety may be suspended or terminated for reasons such as maintenance. The Association accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any damages which may arise as a result of such suspension or termination.
