Naramachi Craftwalk

Nara was the cradle of Japanese traditional culture. Ink brushes, sumi ink, Narazarashi bleached hemp cloth, and Itto-bori wood carving, all evolved from Nara and are still upheld by the craftsmen who have been working hard to continue their traditions and techniques for more than 1300 years. With an expert English-speaking guide, this tour will visit Naramachi area where you can enjoy its atmosphere of an ancient town, as well as the traditional culture and craftworks in Nara. At the end of the tour, we will try making an accessory of a flower or deer, using Japanese chirimen fabric!
