Mount Wakakusa わかくさやま

The summit of Mount Wakakusa presents a distinctly Nara-like view that includes Todai-ji Temple, Kodai-ji Temple, and others. One of the mountain's most famous events is the once yearly "yama yaki," or prescribed burning of part of the mountainside brush.
