This keyhole-shaped imperial tomb, dating back to the beginning of the Kofun period (also known as the Tumulus period, circa early 5th century), is regarded as belonging to Emperor Suinin. It measures approximately 227 meters in length and is surrounded by a moat filled with water. It is a fitting sight for the sacred land of Mount Horai. A small island floating next to the tomb is said to be the grave of Tajimanomori, who mourned the emperor's death and followed him to his death.
