Imanishi Shoin
Shoin-zukuri-style traditional residence designated as an Important Cultural Property

The Imanishi Shoin was originally used as the residence of a great Buddhist monk from the Kohfukuji Temple and was handed over to the Imanishi family in 1924. It is a Shoin-zukuri-style traditional residence that embodies the Muromachi period (1336-1573) style and has been designated as an Important Cultural Property. At the café, you can enjoy sweets made with the local sake "Harushika".

- From JR or Kintetsu Nara Stations, take a bus bound for Tenri Station for 8 minutes and get off at Fukuchiin-cho bus stop, then take a walk for a minute.
