Romantopia Tsukigase

This hands-on-learning facility is right next to the Tsukigase plum orchard, where 10,000 red and white plum flowers bloom every spring. Try your hand at tea-leaf picking, konjac-jelly making, or Japanese country cooking. There's an RV park for overnight stays.

Access
【By Car】
From Nara City via Yuge, it's about 30 km (approximately 60 minutes).
From Osaka or Nagoya via Tomei Highway or Meihan National Highway, exit at Gogatsuhashi IC, Tokida IC, or Shirokashi IC, which are about 7 km away (approximately 90 minutes from Osaka, approximately 120 minutes from Nagoya).
From Kyoto, take Route 24, then Route 163, and finally Prefectural Road 753, which is about 68 km (approximately 100 minutes).

【By Train and Bus】
From Nara City:
From JR Nara Station or Kintetsu Nara Station, take a Nara Kotsu bus for about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
From JR Nara Station, transfer at Kizugawa Station on the JR Kansai Main Line (change at Kamo Station), then take a Mie Kotsu bus for 20 minutes (total 1 hour and 20 minutes). Please note that there are fewer buses between Kamo and Kameyama. For details, please contact JR West.

From Iga City:
From Kintetsu Nabari Station or Kikyogaoka Station, take a Mie Kotsu bus for about 30 minutes.
From Kintetsu Ueno-shi Station, take a Mie Kotsu bus for about 30 minutes.

【特産品販売】 ロマントピア月ヶ瀬には、月ヶ瀬ならではの様々な特産品が揃ってます。味・香り抜群の煎茶・粉末茶、肉厚でジューシーな梅干し、昔懐かしい味がする漬物など、月ヶ瀬自慢の特産物をお届けしています。美味しさはもちろん保証付き。 【郷土料理】 元婦人の指導により、素材の持ち味を活かした郷土料理づくりに挑戦。「料理は苦手」という方は、もっぱら食べる役に徹して下さい。 【奈良晒】 手織りならではのやわらかな風合いを持つ奈良晒。伝統的家屋交流館(別棟)では、織られていく様子を見学でき、また、奈良晒伝承教室も開かれています。 【茶道】 製茶加工の見学や、茶づくりの体験が出来ます。喉が乾けば落ち着いた茶室で煎茶を一服。作り方から味わい方まで、お茶のことなら茶どころ月ヶ瀬へ。 ※各種体験教室(コンニャクづくり、もちつき、味噌づくり、つけものづくり)は、年間を通して開催しています。皆様のご参加をお待ちしています。 ※体験は全て要予約です。
