Hakudo Inoue Memorial Museum

※Unauthorized reproduction of images on this page is prohibited

This photography museum is dedicated to Hakudo Inoue, a photographer whose life’s work focused on the landscapes of Yamatoji.

The two-story memorial building was once his home and photography office, where he spent the last decade of his life. The first-floor gallery showcases a collection of stunning photographs taken in Nara Prefecture. On the second floor, visitors can view items related to Inoue in his former workspace.

Additionally, the dining room, which offers a view of the changing seasons through its windows, serves lunch featuring Yamato vegetables and locally sourced ingredients (reservation required), as well as delightful sweets.
