In the Zen meditation hall, where a powerful portrait of Bodhidharma hangs, an all-night New Year's Eve Zazen Meditation is held from the night of December 31 until around 3:00 AM on New Year's Day. Participants engage in five sessions of zazen (seated meditation) throughout the night.

During the event, attendees enjoy Toshikoshi Soba (New Year's Eve noodles) and take part in ringing the Joya no Kane (New Year's Eve bell). After the meditation concludes, the Hatsuharu Daihannya Prayer Ceremony is held in the main hall.
