日葉酢媛陵古墳 (日葉酢媛命狭木之寺間陵)(佐紀陵山古墳)

全長207メートルの大型前方後円墳で、佐紀盾列古墳群のひとつ（佐紀陵山古墳） 。第11代垂仁天皇の后・日葉酢媛命の陵墓に治定されています。「古事記」には、日葉酢媛が亡くなった時、垂仁天皇が野見宿袮（のみのすくね）の意見をとりいれ、埴輪をつくるようになったとする埴輪の起源説話が残されています。
